Stoplight on Highway 61
A poem for America

Stoplight on Highway 61 “For the loser now will be later to win.” — Bob Dylan On my right, a blonde’s eyes blistering, trying her best not to glance left. On my left, a man who would be about my fathers’s age, if he had lived, in a black “Duck Dynasty” T-shirt with big white letters saying, HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY. His shiny red hands reach for the two dollars I offer.
